Monday Treats!

Today I spent the day with one of my wonderful friends, Gemma (you can see her beauty blog here!). I ventured into Wimbledon to see her and we went to a lovely little cafe for tea and cake (SO sickly) and then had a browse of the shops, I went with the intention of being a good girl and not buying anything. Unfortunately I was unable to resist buying something because I think that I’ve been pretty good in that department recently. I treated myself to a couple of things from H&M:

I’ve been eyeing the white t-shirt up for a while and finally decided to try it on; which inevitably led to me buying it. I love that it’s just a normal t-shirt fit and the collar makes it a little bit more special without you having to compromise on the fit or how comfortable it is plus it was a bargain at £14.99. The other top is a digital print shell top that was £19.99 and I’m still not 100% sure whether I’m going to keep it or not. The print is a bit more garish than one that I would usually pick but I think that it would look great with my shiny American Apparel leggings and a pair of wedges for a night out.

I also picked up these stacking rings whilst I was in H&M, I’ve been trying to find them for quite while in one of the Kingston stores but they’ve never had any. They were only £2.99 and I love them!

My final purchase was this nail polish in “oh la la”. It’s a nice pink shade with gold shimmers in it and as I am a little bit of a nail polish junkie I thought I’d give it a go. At £1.50 you can’t really go wrong; I’m going to try it out tonight so I will probably do a little review of it in a couple of days so keep your eyes peeled.

I’m selling my life on ebay again! I’ve had another little clear out of my wardrobe, unfortunately I only ship to the UK so if you’re not based here then I’m sorry.

Look at my items here!

Today I’m Wearing…

Today I am wearing a somewhat boring outfit. Earlier, I decided that washing-up last nights meal of spaghetti and meatballs was a good idea and unfortunately managed to splash water and tomato all down my top! I was wearing a rather nice Topshop lilac silk camisole but that has now been binned thanks to said stain and a previous one that refused to come out. So I opted for a plain black vest top with a lace insert and black skinny jeans jazzed up with glittery pumps and some nice, classic, dainty silver jewellery. I’m so lucky to always get jewellery as a gift 🙂

Today I’m Wearing…

Well, I am officially exhausted after my fourth day running at Topshop and in need of a nice, long bubble bath! But, obviously, I wanted to share today’s outfit with you before I settle down for another boyfriend-less evening (stupid work!). I went for an effortless look today which was indeed, effortless to achieve. I have lived in Topshop’s “Leigh” jeans ever since I discovered them and have them in three colours; I love the fact that the denim is so soft and stretchy so even if you’re having a “fat day” you can still squeeze into these little babies. I wore my black ones today with a black and white polka dot tee that I got from Zara a year or so ago; it has a great gold zip detail down the back and a dipped hem which fits in well with this summer’s trends. It’s a comfy, slouchy outfit that can be jazzed up with a few key notes of gold and a slick of lipstick. Topshop’s lipsticks are actually pretty amazing, I was sceptical at first but after speaking to one of the girls at work who swears by them I thought I’d give one a whirl. I have “Secret Admirer” which I wore today and “Nevada” which was featured on some of the runways this year. Both are nude shades, one real nude and one pinky nude and they even look nice when worn together as a cheeky little mix, perfect!

Today I’m Wearing…

Sometimes I have to avoid doing my “Today I’m Wearing” posts because I look like a little scruff-bag but most of the time it’s just because I can’t always find my clothes online. Once I find something that I love, I find it really difficult to part with it unless it’s something that I thought I’d love and have never actually worn (in which case eBay calls). Therefore quite a lot of my clothes are old and not in the shops any more; to conquer this problem I’ve decided that I might take photos of my outfits laid out rather than list them. That way I won’t miss as many outfit posts and I also won’t have to photograph myself in them!

Anyway I was at my internship again today and stupidly wore the wrong kind of shoes for the massive downpour of rain that greeted me after work…I always seem to make that mistake! I opted for jeans today and my new favourite cardigan because rainy days are comfy days, in my opinion.

Today I’m Wearing…

Today’s outfit choice was perfect for what I had planned, I went for tea and cake with one of my lovely friends for a catch-up and weekly gossip session. I love my new Topshop cardigan because it’s warm and slouchy so I don’t really need a coat when I’m wearing it and the pastel shade makes me feel like I’m at least being a little bit summery. We went for a browse of H&M where I indulged in a few items that I will show you later and then on to Patisserie Valerie for some tea and cake, however I am now sat at home in some kind of cake coma in which I feel like I’m going to either die or explode…oh dear!

Today I’m Wearing…

So today I braved four hours at a rather busy Topshop and a massive downpour of rain on the way there. I definitely was not prepared for the weather in my ballet pumps and umbrella that kept being blown inside out by the wind. I arrived at work more than a little soggy and dishevelled but I dried out after a while.

Today I’m Wearing…

Today I have a presentation about this very blog at university so I wanted to look moderately smart and a little less laid back than usual. This is only the second time I’ve worn the H&M skirt but I’ve decided that I actually quite like it and it works really well to base an outfit around, my simple black and grey outfit is jazzed up a bit by the metallic sparkles in my jumper and turquoise in my jewellery.

Today I’m wearing…

I’ve gone for a laid-back, lazy kind of look today to fit my mood and my tasks for the day. I’m meant to be writing the content for my magazine journalism project so I wanted to be comfy and warm (seeing as the sun seems to have left us). The perfect outfit to fit my day of studying/procrastinating/drinking tea.

Today I’m wearing…

Today was possibly the laziest Saturday that I have had in a while, I have lounged around all day with my boyfriend doing absolutely nothing. And now, I’m still lounging but this time alone and trying to motivate myself to do some work. I doubt I will be successful.
