Monday Treats!

Today I spent the day with one of my wonderful friends, Gemma (you can see her beauty blog here!). I ventured into Wimbledon to see her and we went to a lovely little cafe for tea and cake (SO sickly) and then had a browse of the shops, I went with the intention of being a good girl and not buying anything. Unfortunately I was unable to resist buying something because I think that I’ve been pretty good in that department recently. I treated myself to a couple of things from H&M:

I’ve been eyeing the white t-shirt up for a while and finally decided to try it on; which inevitably led to me buying it. I love that it’s just a normal t-shirt fit and the collar makes it a little bit more special without you having to compromise on the fit or how comfortable it is plus it was a bargain at £14.99. The other top is a digital print shell top that was £19.99 and I’m still not 100% sure whether I’m going to keep it or not. The print is a bit more garish than one that I would usually pick but I think that it would look great with my shiny American Apparel leggings and a pair of wedges for a night out.

I also picked up these stacking rings whilst I was in H&M, I’ve been trying to find them for quite while in one of the Kingston stores but they’ve never had any. They were only £2.99 and I love them!

My final purchase was this nail polish in “oh la la”. It’s a nice pink shade with gold shimmers in it and as I am a little bit of a nail polish junkie I thought I’d give it a go. At £1.50 you can’t really go wrong; I’m going to try it out tonight so I will probably do a little review of it in a couple of days so keep your eyes peeled.

I’m selling my life on ebay again! I’ve had another little clear out of my wardrobe, unfortunately I only ship to the UK so if you’re not based here then I’m sorry.

Today I’m Wearing…

I thought I’d do a little outfit post before I head off to work this morning, seeing as I woke up with time to spare (which is always nice) and my boyfriend has already gone to work. I’m working at Oasis now in Kingston, not Topshop anymore. I was sad to leave and obviously sad to leave my uniform allowance behind but Oasis is lovely and I needed a change after 2 years.

Anyway, today I’m wearing my Oasis uniform and I absolutely love these Jade jeggings! So much so that I have them in blue as well as black; they’re so unbelievably comfy and I like how they do up like a jean and have pockets unlike a lot of jeggings. They’re quite expensive at £40 but I got mine with 75% off, saying that I probably would pay full price for them anyway! I’m also wearing this printed vest that I got on uniform too, it’s got a really nice back detailing (theres a open gap about 1/4 of the way down the back) which makes it a nice change from a plain, old, boring vest top.

Once again, my coat isn’t on google! And I thought I’d pop a photo up of the outfit as a whole:

Today I’m wearing…I’m BACK!

I know I have been neglectful yet again, but I seem to be finding it really tricky to find the time to blog between working, going to uni, doing my uni work, cooking and cleaning and spending time with my boyfriend and friends! However, I have just started another blog for uni to do with journalisn and the online revolution; you can see it here if you’re interested. So I figured that I may find it easier to do this blog too as I will have to do that one anyway so why not do one that I find therapeutic too?

Anyway, today I have had a completely lazy day with my boyfriend as I’m working tomorrow and worked most of last week too. I’ve literally lounged around, playing on my mac, drinking tea and reading magazines as well as being forced to watch a bit of Star Wars. Today’s outfit reflects my day completely and I’m sure I will be bathed and in my PJ’s in no time!

I have missed out my coat as I couldn’t find it anywhere online so here it is:

Coat £13 – Primark

Today I’m Wearing…

Today I am wearing a somewhat boring outfit. Earlier, I decided that washing-up last nights meal of spaghetti and meatballs was a good idea and unfortunately managed to splash water and tomato all down my top! I was wearing a rather nice Topshop lilac silk camisole but that has now been binned thanks to said stain and a previous one that refused to come out. So I opted for a plain black vest top with a lace insert and black skinny jeans jazzed up with glittery pumps and some nice, classic, dainty silver jewellery. I’m so lucky to always get jewellery as a gift 🙂

Today I’m Wearing…

I was working at Topshop again today and decided to pull my maxi skirt out of the wardrobe and embrace my shortness! I teamed my black maxi skirt with my 3/4 length sleeve, breton striped Topshop tee and my dad’s old belt. I actually love wearing my maxi skirt now and just want to buy myself a whole collection, I don’t know what it is about them but they actually make me feel really girlie and feminine with the added comfort of knowing that a gust of wind isn’t going to expose your knickers to whole of the world. I’m hoping to be able to invest in a nice skirt with my Topshop uniform if any nice ones come up in the petite range. I wore my usual simple gold jewellery and gold watch (I like to know the time at work but not having a silver one too means that I neglect some of my beautiful silver jewellery) and then popped on some plain black ballet pumps for good measure and I was good to go. I might do another post about all of the wonderful maxi skirts I’ve seen lately, does anyone have any tips for making them work in winter too?

Outfit breakdown:

Today I’m Wearing…

The sun was shining in Kingston today and it was nice to venture out of the house knowing that I wouldn’t be needing an umbrella at any point. Today I wore jeans (mistake!) because as I was about to leave the house in my sun-dress the sky clouded over and I thought that I looked a little optimistic in a dress, however after being outside for around 5 minutes the sun had put his hat on again. Nightmare. Anyway, at least I was wearing a nice summery top which I bought from Topshop about a year ago, I love it because it’s a swing shape and a lovely shade of rose pink with a lace trim. It looks really nice with jeans and a cardigan over the top means that it’s nice for summer or winter. Me and Adam (the much spoken about boyfriend) went for lunch a local pub in Kingston called The Ram and sat outside in the sunshine whilst sipping on G&T’s and eating burgers and steak! It was so nice to be able to sit in the sunshine and have lunch rather than being confined to our flat whilst the rain pours outside. We then went for a little wander and picked up some ice creams for the walk home, I chose, the obvious classic, a twister and enjoyed every second of it.

Today I’m Wearing…

Another day of work is done and I am finally cosied up at home in my pyjamas and my boyfriend’s jumper watching “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”. Today I wore a basic grey marl Topshop tee and navy skinny jeans to work; it was rainy and grey outside before I left for work but as soon as I did the sun came out and I started to boil on my walk in to work. I opted for my favourite Topshop Valentine pumps and simple everyday gold jewellery to tie it all together.

Today I’m Wearing…

Well, I am officially exhausted after my fourth day running at Topshop and in need of a nice, long bubble bath! But, obviously, I wanted to share today’s outfit with you before I settle down for another boyfriend-less evening (stupid work!). I went for an effortless look today which was indeed, effortless to achieve. I have lived in Topshop’s “Leigh” jeans ever since I discovered them and have them in three colours; I love the fact that the denim is so soft and stretchy so even if you’re having a “fat day” you can still squeeze into these little babies. I wore my black ones today with a black and white polka dot tee that I got from Zara a year or so ago; it has a great gold zip detail down the back and a dipped hem which fits in well with this summer’s trends. It’s a comfy, slouchy outfit that can be jazzed up with a few key notes of gold and a slick of lipstick. Topshop’s lipsticks are actually pretty amazing, I was sceptical at first but after speaking to one of the girls at work who swears by them I thought I’d give one a whirl. I have “Secret Admirer” which I wore today and “Nevada” which was featured on some of the runways this year. Both are nude shades, one real nude and one pinky nude and they even look nice when worn together as a cheeky little mix, perfect!

Today I’m Wearing…

I was working at Topshop again today and I will be until Sunday (with Friday off) so expect lots of Topshop featured in my “Today I’m wearing” posts! Today was the first day in the past week or so that I haven’t had my legs out and have had to cover up as sadly the sunshine seems to have deserted us. I opted for my really comfy, slouchy-fit khaki jumper this morning which I got a couple of months ago and have lived in ever since. It’s the perfect jumper that looks great over dresses or jeans but it’s also long enough to wear with leggings like I did today; I love it! I wore it with American Apparel leggings and teamed it a few key pieces of gold jewellery. My new gold Astley Clarke necklace is my favourite piece of jewellery right now. My boyfriend bought it for me as a belated Valentines present as my Daisy chakra bracelet kept breaking and I really wanted a dainty necklace that I could wear every day.
