Phoenix.

Phoenix specialises in the re-sale of gorgeous designer goods at reasonable and discounted prices, the items they sell are all in amazing condition and some of the stock they receive has never even been worn by its previous owner. Whether worn or not the shop is full of  designer items longing to be loved by someone new, someone who can get the most out of them and, most importantly, get joy out of wearing them.

My favourites this week:

The shop contains so many goodies ranging from Jimmy Choo shoes to Versace dresses to Mulberry handbags! Every amazing, popular designer you can think of has something housed in Phoenix. When I started there last week I was completely amazed at just how wonderful it is and completely entranced by some of the clothes, shoes, accessories and jewellery that I laid eyes on.

Have a look at their online gallery which we update daily and if you live nearby then be sure to pop in. I guarantee, you will not be disappointed!

Like them on Facebook and Twitter too.

Midi Madness

The midi skirt is something that I never thought I would like seeing as I’m rather lacking in the long legs department and sometimes a little fearful of new things; however midi skirts have stolen my heart this Spring. They seem to be popping up all over the high-street in a variety of shapes and gorgeous shades; I am especially partial to chiffon midi skirts as the fabric is so girlie and floaty which is ultimately what I love. I managed to bag myself a gorgeous black chiffon, waterfall shape midi skirt from Primark, of all places, for just £10 the other day (the only size left was a 14 and I just couldn’t leave without it but with a quick stitch in the waist it now fits perfectly). I plan  to wear it high-waisted with a black and gold belt and plain t-shirt for a really simple day look for my internship in June. The high-street has some wonderful midi skirts at the moment to channel that girlie vibe that was created on the catwalk by the likes of Louis Vuitton and Prada.

Here are some of my favourite midi skirts:

How will you wear yours?

Fun prints at Prada S/S’12

Prints at Prada

The sun is shining in Kingston today and it feels like summer really might be on it’s way so I thought I’d have a look at some of the upcoming summer trends, one of which is prints. Prada S/S’12 was, by far, one of my favourite collections for this season, the clothes are fun and fresh as well as remaining sophisticated and ladylike; the use of car prints within the collection works wonderfully whether it’s a head-to-toe look or a simple bandeau teamed with a pencil skirt.Prada always seems to get it right for me, last year I fell in love with their S/S collection just as I have done this year; but sadly I am not a millionaire or wonderfully beautiful enough to get the clothes for free so i have to try and recreate these looks using the high-street. At the moment there aren’t a great deal of car printed items around on the high-street but there are still a lot of fun prints going on for spring and summer. I have found some brilliant alternatives to the Prada prints including bug prints and animal print for just a fraction of the price…here are some ideas.
